Congratulations to John Halsey '08, and his beautiful bride, Hillary Steinhoff who were married on September 1 at the Tewksbury Country Club. It was a fabulous wedding as John and Hillary shared their special day with their wonderful families and friends.
We wish John and Hillary all the best in their new lives together. By the way, their new home's back yard is essentially connected to left field at Morton! That is significant, because John joins Jason Zerfas ’99 as the only two alumni to propose at Morton Field at Pete Moscariello Ballpark!
Here is a photo of John's teammates and coaches, taken by Jenn Zerfas (thanks, Jenn!)
L to R (by head position, not rows): Jason Zerfas ’99, Sean McGoldrick ’08, Brian Catanzano ’08, John Halsey ’08, Coach Mosc, Pat Kiley ’08, Jeff Wyer ’09, Steve Buitkus ’08, Derek Strukel ’09.
Pretty good lineup right there!
The Readings magazine and Boston Voyager magazine each featured a story about Chris and Jason Angelini and their business, American Bench Craft, through which they make beautiful, hand-crafted leather products. Jason was Reading Baseball player in 2007 and was known for his great work ethic, attitude, hustle, and enthusiasm. He and Chris have applied those same traits to build a unique and successful business. So congratulations and continued success to Jason and Chris. You can read The Readings article at:

Another alumnus who has built a tremendous business around leather goods is Joe Prew '77. Joe co-owns Boston Boot Company which makes the finest quality footwear for men and women. Joe was a terrific lefty pitcher for us on my very first team and remains a great friend of 40 years.
Please visit Joe’s company website and check out the amazing shoes and boots they create and sell at:
